Dr. Weaver especially enjoys fitting patients with contact lenses. He loves seeing his patients’ excitement when they first experience the freedom of great vision while not wearing glasses.
One common misconception about contact lenses is that a person is too young/old to wear contacts. There are so many healthy contact lenses options out there that age is not a limitation. As long as the patient is motivated and cares properly for their lenses, Dr. Weaver has fit patients from eight-years-old on up.
Another misconception is that many people believe they are not candidates based on an astigmatism or bifocal correction. Since contact lens technology rapidly evolves, there are many 1-day disposable, two-week disposable, monthly disposable and overnight wear lenses available for all prescriptions, including nearsightedness, farsightedness, astigmatism and bifocals.
The practice not only deals with soft contact lens fits, but also rigid gas permeable (hard) contact lenses and challenging fits to provide optimal vision for patients with keratoconus, post-surgical corneal distortion and other corneal disease.
After speaking with the doctor at your examination, Dr. Weaver will review the best contact lens options customized to fit your needs.
